Mean Dispersal Distance (MDD) and Mean Distance Travelled (MDT)
As far as I understand, MDT is analogous to MDD with the addition of a correction for lack of homogeneity in the spatial distribution of traps.
Since MDT is more general and more accurate, does it make sense to yield MDD results as if they provided supplementary information. We could compute MDT only, leaving the user the possibility of using any trap-level weights they wish (including uniform weights, which would reduce to MDD).
